Setting up event for subscriptions

Events are among the essentials to the success of the Conference / Congress. It enrichs knowledge and keep the interest of your participants by introduction to the local culture. The Ornate CDMS has powerful Event Management Module.

This guide shows you how to set up event. Which will be available for subscriptions by registered participants of the conference / Congress.

STEP 1:

First of all you need to set up the event dates. Which can be set under your admin area. Follow the steps below to set up availability of event according to your set dates:

> Login to Member account >> Settings > Event Settings

There you can write the following

Title:
This will appear as the main heading of the module for the participants / members

Description:
This will also appear on the participant side just below the title. You can explain how your events will be organized and let your

(First day of the Social/Workshop/Event):

This is the first day of the event. Usually it is same as your first day of conference. But if you have no workshop or social programme on the first day of the conference. It can be the second, third or last day of your conference depending upon your schedule of the conference.

(Last day of the Social/Workshop/Event):

This is the last day of the event. Usually it is same as your last day of conference. But if you have no workshop or social programme on the last day of the conference. It can be any day during your conference depending upon your schedule of the conference.

The main purpose of these dates is to tell the event module to get all the available events between these two dates for the participant for subscriptions.

Step 2:

After you have set up your event settings. Now you need to create an event for the participants. Which should be within above mentioned dates. You can find the option to create as many as events you need under following option:

Login to Member account >> Workshop / Events >> Create New Event

As long as you keep the event status as “Not Available” It will not appear for the subscription under participants subscription area.

You are all done. When participants will log into their account. They can subscribe to available events. However, they might still not be able to see the event module as it is bound to their registration fee and if they have not paid yet. However, you can still allow them to register without paying the participation fee. For this you need to go to View All participant option and allow him Event Subscriptions. This will let them subscribe to any event without paying the participation or social programme fee.
